Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data is collected through this website, why, for how long it is kept and what rights you have.

Data controller

Site owner: Ángel Castro, a private individual.
Contact: contacto@maruxaina.com
Web hosting: DreamHost, which acts as the processor of the data.

What data is collected

This website has no user accounts, no registration and no newsletter. The only personal data that can reach us arrives through the contact form, which asks for three things:

  • Name (required).
  • Email address (required): the only way we can reply.
  • Message (required): the query or comment you want to send.

No special categories of data are collected, and no advertising tracking tools are used with the data of whoever writes.

Why the data is used and on what legal basis

The data from the form is used solely to reply to the enquiry that was sent. It is not reused for advertising, not passed on to third parties and not combined with any other database.

The legal basis is the consent given when the form is sent, it being understood that this consent is what authorises processing the data so that we can answer you.

How long the data is kept

The data is kept until the query is resolved and, at most, for 12 months from the last communication. Once that period has passed, the data is deleted.

Recipients and processors

The data is not passed on to any third party. The only entity that processes it is the hosting provider, DreamHost, which hosts the site on its servers on the site owner’s behalf.

International transfers

The hosting of this website is in the United States (Portland, Oregon), outside the European Economic Area, so the data you send us is transferred to that country. That transfer relies on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses (module 2, controller to processor) published by DreamHost in its «Customer Data Processing Addendum» (Schedule D, “Model Clauses”), which form part of the data processing agreement signed with the hosting provider.

Your rights

You may ask at any time for access to your data, its rectification, its erasure, the restriction of processing, data portability and the right to object, by writing to contacto@maruxaina.com. We will reply within a maximum of one month.

Complaining to the Spanish Data Protection Agency

If you believe your request has not been properly handled, you can complain to the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), C/ de Jorge Juan, 6, 28001 Madrid, or through its website: aepd.es.
